Potential District Court jurors to receive postcards this week
Posted on August 10, 2026
Around 16,500 randomly selected Missoula County residents will start receiving postcards this week from the Clerk of District Court's Office indicating they are in the jury pool for the upcoming jury term.
Residents who receive these bright pink postcards are required to complete a juror questionnaire by scanning the QR code or visiting the link printed on the postcard. To fill out the questionnaire, recipients will need to provide their juror number, which is the nine-digit number located above their name/address on the front of the postcard.
Receiving the postcard does not mean residents will serve on a jury; it only means they are in the pool of potential jurors to be summoned for this term, which runs Sept. 1, 2026-Aug. 31, 2027. If residents are summoned for a specific trial, they will receive a separate letter in the mail and will need to confirm receipt within 72 hours. More information on jury duty in District Court is available online.
