Received a citation? Justice Court handles citations issued by Missoula County Sheriff’s Office, Montana Highway Patrol, Motor Carrier Services, Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks, and Missoula Animal Control.

The daily 1:30 p.m. open court appearances are for those who wish to see a Judge to contest a citation or for mandatory appearances. Please call 406-258-3470 or come by in person to speak with a Justice Court Clerk to schedule your court appearance.

On your citation you will see an Appear By Date. This is the date the Officer wrote on the citation, so please contact the court on or before that date! We can often give you a little more time to appear, provided you have contacted us. We have court appearances any day, Monday through Friday, at 1:30 p.m.
