Scammers have been targeting land-use applicants with fake invoices that appear to be from Missoula County. These fake invoices are typically sent after project completion and reference a wire transfer, crypto or gift cards as payment options. PDS fees are always paid at the beginning of a project, not upon completion, and we only send invoices upon request. Fees are also paid over the phone or in person only; we will never request a wire transfer. If you receive one of these invoices, please call 406-258-4657 to report it. Do not issue a check or any other form of payment. Do not attempt to call or email any contact information listed on the invoice.
