The Missoula County Fairgrounds promotes agriculture, education, culture, recreation and community connection through year-round events. The Fairgrounds is home to the Western Montana Fair, the Missoula Stampede Rodeo and Glacier Ice Rink, the Rocky Mountain Gardens and more.

The current Fairgrounds was once Missoula's airfield. The county commissioners bought the current site in 1913 for $16,000.
