Childcare Provider Training Fund
The Childcare Provider Training Fund invests in evidence-based and best practice professional development for early-childhood service providers in Missoula County. These funds provide support for comprehensive training and support services for the purpose of sustaining and improving the quality of childcare available to Missoula County families.
The goals of this fund are to:
- Improve the quality of childcare businesses by delivering professional development opportunities through a variety of methods to caregivers providing childcare within home and center settings throughout Missoula County.
- Ensure professional development is based on current research grounded in early childhood knowledge concepts and adult learning principles.
- Improve the health and safety of children and caregivers in childcare settings, including but not limited to mental/behavioral health and infectious diseases.
- Improve business management practices of childcare providers in both home and center settings to ensure providers are knowledgeable about how to effectively run a business.
