Current Election

Municipal General – Nov. 4, 2025

What is on the ballot?

All active and provisionally registered voters who live in the City of Missoula will receive a ballot for the mayoral, city council and the three municipal judge incumbent races. Candidates who filed for these races and those who advanced from the Sept. 9, Municipal Primary are listed below. Questions regarding candidate platforms or initiatives must be directed to the candidate.

In addition to the city races, there will be a countywide infrastructure mill levy on the ballot, which means all active and provisionally registered voters who live in the county (outside city limits) will receive a ballot with only the mill levy race. City voters will have the county mill levy on their ballots in addition to the municipal races. Click here to learn more about the infrastructure mill levy.

NEW MT LAW - BIRTH YEAR NOTICE

The 2025 legislature passed House Bill 719, which requires voters to write their year of birth on the affirmation envelope in addition to their signature. This bill went into effect on Oct. 1, 2025. A ballot will be rejected if it does not include both a signature and birth year.

In the November 4 Municipal General Election, voters will see red boxes on their affirmation envelopes to provide their 4-digit birth year.

With this new law change, Missoula County followed the recommendations from the Secretary of State’s office and used the affirmation envelope they provided for uniformity within the state.
